General information

General questions

How we work, with whom and on what terms — the most common entry questions.

What services do you offer?
We work in three main areas: custom Laravel web development, managed hosting (full operation of the applications we build) and sysadmin / DevOps services. You can use them separately or as a single package.
How big is your team?
We are a small, senior team: a developer, a backend developer, a DevOps engineer and an operations lead. Communication is direct — no multi-layer project management, you always talk to the person who does the work.
What does the start of an engagement look like?
We begin with a short intro call to understand the need and the context. Then we provide a written proposal and timeline, and after signing, work starts — with transparent milestones.
Which industries do you have experience in?
We have worked in fintech, logistics, SaaS products and public-sector portals. The Laravel stack and test-driven development are the same regardless of industry — we build the domain knowledge together during the discovery phase.
Do you work with clients outside the EU?
We work primarily with Hungarian and EU clients, so data handling stays GDPR-compliant and time zones overlap. We take on non-EU projects on a case-by-case basis.
What happens after the project ships?
We do not disappear: we hand over a documented, transferable codebase and infrastructure, and remain available for support or further development. We work without vendor lock-in.

Custom development

Web development

Custom Laravel applications from concept to launch.

Which technologies do you work with?
The backend is Laravel (PHP 8.4); the frontend, depending on the project, is Livewire, Inertia or Vue. The database is usually PostgreSQL or MySQL. We always pick the stack for the task, not the other way around.
Can you take over an existing project written by someone else?
Yes. We first assess the state with a code audit (test coverage, dependencies, security), then provide a stabilisation and development plan. We make the risks of the takeover transparent up front, in writing.
Do you write tests?
Yes, by default. We work with Pest/PHPUnit feature and unit tests, and browser tests for critical flows. The tests run in CI without us, so the codebase stays maintainable long term.
How do you price development?
For smaller, well-scoped tasks we give a fixed-price quote; for ongoing or open-scope work, time & materials (T&M) billing with weekly reporting. The pricing model is fixed in the proposal up front.
How long is an average project?
A well-defined MVP is typically 4–10 weeks, depending on complexity. After the discovery phase we provide a concrete, milestone-based timeline — not a generic estimate.
Who owns the source code?
The entire source code belongs to the client, fixed in the contract. We can work in your own Git repo, and we deliver all code documented and in a handover-ready state.

Managed hosting

Managed hosting

We do not just build — we take over operating the application too.

What does "managed" hosting mean?
We do not just give you a server: we take over full operations — deployment, updates, backups, monitoring, scaling and incident handling. You do not need to employ a sysadmin for it.
Where are the servers?
In EU data centres so data handling stays GDPR-compliant. A specific region can be chosen on request to match data sovereignty requirements.
What availability do you commit to?
We work with a contractual SLA, typically 99.9% availability with a guaranteed response time. The exact SLA parameters are fixed in writing, tailored to the package.
How often are backups taken?
Automated daily backups (more frequent for critical systems), encrypted and stored separately. We also test restores regularly — a backup is only worth it if it can actually be restored.
Will you migrate my existing application?
Yes. We plan the migration, test it on a staging environment, and run it as a planned cutover with no (or minimal) downtime. We keep the status transparent throughout.
What if traffic starts to grow?
We design the infrastructure to be scalable and we watch the load. When traffic grows we scale vertically or horizontally; we forecast the expected cost impact in advance — no surprise bills.

Sysadmin and DevOps

Sysadmin

Operations, automation and monitoring — with a contractual backbone.

What does the sysadmin service cover?
Server and infrastructure operations, security updates, CI/CD pipelines, containerisation, monitoring and incident handling. Essentially the entire operations layer beyond development.
Is there 24/7 on-call?
For critical clients, yes, with a contractual on-call system and a guaranteed response time. Monitoring is continuous and we respond to incidents along an escalation process.
How do you monitor the systems?
With continuous monitoring and alerts: availability, resource usage, errors and performance. Alerts reach a person, not just a dashboard — we react proactively, not after the fact.
Can you take over existing infrastructure?
Yes. We assess the current environment (access, risks, documentation), then gradually take over operations without disrupting how things run.
What about security?
We work along ISO 27001 principles: regular updates, restricted access, encrypted backups and logging. In a security incident we follow a documented procedure.
Can I only call you when something is broken?
That is not how we work. The goal is prevention: regular maintenance, proactive monitoring and planned updates. Reactive firefighting is the last resort, not the default mode.
